The following letter from Leslie P. Rosenfeld, the Manager of Address Management Systems for the Gulf Atlantic District of the US Postal Service was published in the Walton Sun.
Walton County portion of ZIP Code 32413 will be changed to ZIP Code 32461 effective July 1.
The last line for 32461 is Rosemary Beach.
Several acceptable mailing names will continue to exist for this area, such as: Alys Beach, Inlet Beach, Panama City Beach, Seacrest & Watersound.
PO Box ZIP Code 32461 (currently used at Rosemary Beach CPU and Watersound PSC) will be expanded to include the delivery territory of the Walton County portion of ZIP Code 32413 out of the Panama City Beach Branch.
The newly established split between 32413 and 32461 is the Walton / Bay County line.
Watersound Beach and Origins areas currently using PO Box numbers at their Contract Station, will be converted to their E911 assigned street address when the ZIP Code change occurs.
Addresses in this area should be issued under 32461.
Postal service will continue to come from the Panama City Beach Branch Post Office.
