The deep fiber contractors have completed the TDR process used to evaluate the quality of the cable buried along the streets of our neighborhood. They found that more than 90% of the existing cable is extractable which means they can replace it with fiber optic cable without doing any digging. This is truly a remarkable process that speeds up the process of deploying fiber optic cable and drastically reduces the associated costs. There will be no service-disrupting activities this week. There are some areas where they are going to have do some boring and they’ll start that process on Monday.
