At 1:22 PM CDT on March 20th, Governor Roy DeSantis issued executive order 20-71 which declared that all restaurants and food establishments in Florida are to suspend on-premises food and alcohol consumption, effective immediately. Their kitchens can remain open for delivery and take-out services.

The executive order temporarily suspends the ban on restaurants and food establishments prohibiting them from selling alcohol in sealed containers as part of a food order. Consequently, alcohol may be sold in sealed containers so long as the purchaser is of legal drinking age and the sale includes food.

This executive order shall remain in effect until such time as the state of emergency is lifted for the state.
