Post Hurricane Michael Update

By October 12, 2018October 14th, 2018Uncategorized

Good Evening Homeowners,

We wanted to let you know that as of Friday evening, both power and water service has been restored to the community. Mediacom is working to restore cable and high speed Internet service. Security is expected to operate on a limited basis until Monday. Our community was spared damage of any significance. Some homes experienced minor damages and owners have been contacted. We have some landscaping cleanup work to complete.

We plan to restore the lagoon pool and tram service to operational status on Monday or Tuesday. Right now, the safety and well being of our staff is of paramount importance to us. We have been in contact with almost everyone and some have been significantly impacted by this devastating storm.

Please be aware that while our community will return to a normal operating state relatively quickly, the community at large is still reeling from Hurricane Michael. Today, there were long lines at local gas stations and at present Bay County is under a mandatory 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM curfew. The Publix, Winn-Dixie, and CVS pharmacy just over the Lake Powell Bridge close early. And while some restaurants are open, many are operating on a cash-only basis.

Please keep those communities to our east who were not as fortunate in your thoughts and prayers. If you have a specific concern about your home or property, please reach out to myself <lee@scbhoa.com> or Miriam Berto <miriam@scbhoa.com>.
